Competition Details
Club
- Club competitions are optional and not compulsory. Although highly recommended to assess the clubs acrobats.
- The club may host this at their club premises; optional for the club to hire a venue with a stage but not compulsory.
- 1 Technical Judge – refer to Competition Judge Table
- Also important to ensure that stick figures are correct. (It is advised that someone is appointed to double-check)
- If trainee judges are required; club heads are welcome to contact the relevant person – refer to Judge Table
- This competition is a great starting point, especially for those acrobats new to the sport.
- Club (Studio) attire to be worn.
- All levels may participate in this competition.

Regional
- Each District (previously known as “Provincial Regions” for example Gauteng North or Central Gauteng) is now divided into regions according to where a club is geographically located. Find out which region a club is allocated to; club heads are advised to contact their respective district representative.
- Regional competitors are required to obtain a qualifying score to compete at the District Competition.
- Each region representative will arrange a regional competition to accommodate all clubs within their allocated region.
- 3 Technical Judges and 1 Difficulty/Overall Impression Judge (required) – refer to Competition Judge Table
- If trainee judges are required; club heads are welcome to contact the relevant person – refer to Judge Table
- Club (Studio) attire to be worn.

District
- District (Previously known as “Regionals” for example North West Championships)
- District competitors are required to obtain a qualifying score to compete at the Inter-District Competition. NOTE: Only Level 1 – Advanced Elite may enter the Inter-District competition.
- Competitor that qualify for the Inter-District Competition will earn their District Colours
- Each district representative will arrange a district competition to accommodate all club competitors who qualified at their respective Regional Competition
- 3 Technical Judges (minimum) and 1 Difficulty/Overall Impression Judge (required) – refer to Competition Judge Table
- If trainee judges would like to attend, they need to contact the district representatives
- Club (Studio) attire to be worn.
- All levels may participate in this competition.

Provincial
- Provincial will be all the districts within a province competing against each other to be a part of the provincial team to represent at Nationals. For example: (Gauteng North, Central Gauteng, Western Gauteng and Vaal will compete against each other to form a Gauteng Team)
- Provincial competitions require a minimum score to progress to Nationals. Provinces with few acrobats will present their top-scoring acrobats in that age grouping, as all Provinces need to be represented on a National level.
- Provincials will be arranged by each District event organising committee which will be announced at the Teacher & Judges Course each year
- 5 Technical Judges and 1 Difficulty/Overall Impression Judge (required) – refer to Competition Judge Table
- If trainee judges would like to attend, they need to contact the District event organising committee
- District attire to be worn.
- Only Level 1 – Advanced Elite plus may enter this competition.

Nationals
- Nationals will be hosted as normal
- Nationals will be arranged by the ASSA event organising committee which will be announced at the Teacher & Judges Course
- 5 Technical Judges and 1 Difficulty/Overall Impression Judge (required) – refer to Competition Judge Table
- If trainees or junior judges would like to attend, they need to contact the ASSA event organising committee
- Provincial attire to be worn.
- Only Level 1 – Advanced Elite plus may enter this competition.
- Placings first to sixth will be awarded at prize-giving
- Top three will be awarded National Association colours
